The
Woman Taken in ni'uf (adultery)
(8:1-11)
וישוע הלך אל־הר הזיתים׃
8:1 But Yeshua (ישוע) went to the Har HaZeytim.
8:2 And at the beginning of Shacharit. He came again into the Beit ha Mikdash, and ko ha Am came to Him; and He sat down, and He was teaching them.
8:3
And the Sofrim ( סופרים) and Prushim *brought unto him a isha taken
in ni'uf ; and when having stood her
midst.![]()
8:4 They say unto Him, Master, this woman was taken in ni'uf , in the very act.
8:5
Now in our Torah Moshe Rabbeinu gave us a mitzvau to stone such nashim. "What
do you say?"

8:6 This they said, tempting Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Yeshua (ישוע) stooped down, and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear.
8:7
But as they keep on questioning Him. He stood up and said to them: "Let
him who is with chet (sin) among you be the first to throw a stone at
her."
8:8 Then He stoop down and went on writing on the ground with His finger.
8:9 Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one with the oldest even to the last, Yeshua (ישוע) was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
8:10 When Yeshua (ישוע) had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said her: "Woman where are those accusers of yours? Has no condemned you?"
8:11 She said, No man, Adoni, And Yeshua (ישוע) said to her: "Neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more."
8:12 Then Yeshua (ישוע) spoke to them again: " Ani Hu HaOhr HaOlam Hazeh: "he who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the Ohr HaChayim."
8:13 The Prushim therefore said to Him: "You bear witness about Yourself, Your witness is not true."
8:14 Yeshua (ישוע) answered and said to them:
"Even if I witness concerning Myself, My witness is true, for I know where I came from and where I am going. But you do not know from where I come, or where I go."
8:15 "You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.
8:16 "But even if I do judge. My judgment is true, because I am not alone in it, But I and the Father who sent Me.
8:17 It is also written in your Torah, that the edut of two men is true.
8:18 I am One who bears witness of Myself, and the Father who sent Me bears witness of Me.
8:19 Then said they unto Him: Where is Your Father? Yeshua (ישוע) answered: "You know neither Me nor My Father. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also."
8:20 These words Yeshua (ישוע) spoke in Beit haOtzar, teaching in the Beit haMikdash (temple): and no man arrest him; because His hour had not yet come.
8:21 Then Yeshua (ישוע) said to them again, "I am going away, and you will seek Me, and will die in your sin. Where I go you cannot come."
8:22 Then the Yehudim said, "Will He kill himself because He says, Where I go you are unable to come?"
8:23 And He said to them, You are from mattah (beneath); ANI HU from maalah (above): youe are of this Olam Hazeh (world); I am not of this world.
8:24 Therefore I said to you that you will die in your averos (sins): for if you do not believe that ANI HU, you will die in your chatta'im (sins).
8:25 Then they said to Him, Who are You? And Yeshua (ישוע) said to them, "Just what I have been saying to you from the begining.
8:26 I have many things to say and to judge concerning you, But He who sent Me is true, and wha I heard from Him, these Words I speak to the world."
8:27 They did not understand that He spoke to them of the Father.
8:28 Then Yeshua (ישוע) said to them, When you lifted up ha BEN ADAM, then you will know that ANI HU, and that I do nothing of Myshelf; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things.
8:29 And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him."
8:30 As He spoke these words, many believed in Him.
8:31 Then Yeshua (ישוע) said to those Yehudim who believed Him, "If you stay in My Word, then are indeed My talmidim;
8:32
And you shall
know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
8:33 They answered him, We are Avraham's descendants, and were never in bondage to any man: how say you, You shall be made benei chorin (freeman)?
8:34 Yeshua (ישוע) answered them,
Truly, Truly, I say unto you,
Whosoever practicing sin is the slave of sin.
8:35 And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever.
8:36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
8:37 "I know that you are Avraham's descendants, but you seek to kill Me, because My Word has no place in you.
8:38 I speak what I have seen with My Father, and you do what you have seen with your father."
8:39 They answered and said to Him, "Avraham is our father." Yeshua (ישוע) said to them, "If you were Avraham's children, you would do the works of Avraham."
8:40 But now you seek to kill Me, a Man has told you the truth which I heard from Elohim (אלהים): Avraham did not do this.
8:41 You do the deeds of your father." Then they said to Him, "We are not illegitimate children and born out of fornication, we have one Father - Elohim (אלהים).
8:42 Yeshua (ישוע) said to them, "If Elohim (אלהים) were your Father , you would love Me: for I proceeded forth and came from Elohim (אלהים); neither have I come of Myself but He sent Me.
8:43 Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My Word.
8:44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
8:45 But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me.
8:46 Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me?
8:47 He that is of Elohim (אלהים) hears Elohim's (אלהים) words therefore you do not hear because you are not of Elohim (אלהים).
8:48 Then the Yehudim answered and said to Him, "Do we not say rightly that You are a Shomrom and have a demon?"
8:49 Yeshua (ישוע) answered, "I do not have a demon, but I honor my Father and you dishonor Me.
8:50 And I do not seek My own glory; there is One who seeks and judges.
8:51 Truly, Truly, I say unto you,
If a man keep My saying, he shall never see death.
8:52 Then the Yehudim said to Him, "Now we know that You have a demon! Avraham is dead, and the Neviim; and You say, 'If anyone keeps My Word he shall never taste death.'
8:53 Avraham avinu died; you aren't greater than he, are you? And the prophets also died. Who do you think you are?"
8:54 Yeshua (ישוע) answered, If I honor Myself, My honor is nothing: It is My Father who honors Me, of whom you say that He is your Elohim (אלהים):
8:55 Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I say, 'I do not know Him,' I shall be a liar like you; but I do know Him and keep His word.
8:56 Your father Avraham rejoiced to see My Day: and he saw it, and was glad.
8:57 Then the Yehudim said to Him,
"You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Avraham?"
8:58 Yeshua (ישוע) said to them,
Truly, Truly, I say unto you,
Before Avraham was, I AM.
8:59
Then took they up stones to cast at Him: but
Yeshua (ישוע) hid
himself, and went out of the Beit ha Mikdash (temple), going through the midst of
them, and so passed by.
