18:1 The Kohenim the Leviim, [and] all the shevet Levy, shall have no part nor nachalah (inheritance) with Yisrael: they shall eat the offerings of YHWH (יהוה) made by fire, and his nachalah.
18:2 Therefore shall they have no nachalah among their brethren: YHWH (יהוה) [is] their nachalah, as he hath said unto them.
18:3 And this shall be the kohen's due from the people, from them that offer a zevach, whether [it be] ox or sheep; and they shall give unto the kohen the shoulder, and the shenayim (two) cheeks, and the stomach.

18:6 And if a Levy come from any of thy she'arim (gates) out of all Yisrael, where he sojourned, and come with all the desire of his mind unto the place which YHWH (יהוה) shall choose;
18:7 Then he shall minister in the name of YHWH (יהוה) his Elohim (אלהים), as all his brethren the Leviim [do], which stand there before YHWH (יהוה).
18:8 They shall have like portions to eat, beside that which cometh of the sale of his avi.
18:9 When thou art come into the eretz which YHWH (יהוה) Eloheicha giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the to'avot of those goyim.
18:10 There shall not be found among you [any one] that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, [or] that useth divination, [or] an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,
18:11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
18:12 For all that do these things [are] an to'avat (detestable) unto YHWH (יהוה): and because of these to'avot (abominations) YHWH (יהוה) Eloheicha doth drive them out from before thee.
18:13 Thou shalt be tamim (whole-hearted) with YHWH (יהוה) Eloheicha.
18:14 For these goyim, which thou shalt yaresh (possess ירשׁ), shama unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, YHWH (יהוה) Eloheicha hath not suffered thee so [to do].
18:15 The YHWH (יהוה) Eloheicha will raise up unto thee a Navi from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall shema (hearken);
18:16 According to all that thou desired of YHWH (יהוה) Eloheicha in Horev in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not Shema again the voice of YHWH (יהוה) Elohav, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.
18:17 And YHWH (יהוה) said unto me, They have well [spoken that] which they have spoken.
18:18 I will raise them up a Navi from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put My Devarim in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
18:19 And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever will not shama (hearken) unto My Devarim which he shall speak in My Name, I will require [it] of him.
18:20 But the Navi, which shall presume to speak a word in My Name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that Navi shall die.
18:21 And if thou say in thine lev, How shall we know the word which YHWH (יהוה) hath not spoken?
18:22 When a Navi speaketh in ha Shem YHWH (יהוה), if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that [is] the thing which YHWH (יהוה) hath not spoken, [but] the Navi hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
