Elohim Gives power to Moshe

4:1 And Moshe answered and said:

But, behold, they will not believe me, nor listen to my Kol (voice): for they will say: "ADONAI (יהוה) has not ra'ah (appeared) to you."

4:2 And ADONAI said to him:

What is that in your hand? And he said, "A rod".

4:3 And He said: "Cast it on the ground." And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moshe fled from before it.

4:4 And ADONAI said to Moshe:

Put forth your hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand:

4:5 That they may believe that ADONAI (יהוה) Elohei Avotam, Elohei Avraham, Elohei Yitz'chak, ve Elohei Ya'akov, has ra'ah (appeared) to you.

4:6 And ADONAI  said furthermore to him:

Put now your hand into your bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow.

4:7 And He said: "Put your hand into your bosom again." And he put his hand into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh.

4:8 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe you, neither listen to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.

4:9 And it shall come to pass, if they do not believe even these two signs, neither listen to your voice, that you shall take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land: And the water which you take out from the river shall become blood upon the dry land."

4:10 And Moshe said to ADONAI:

O my Adonai (אדני), I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since you has spoken to your servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.

4:11 And ADONAI  said to him:

Who has made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I ADONAI (יהוה)?

4:12 Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth, and teach you what you shall say.

4:13 And he said: "O my Adonai (אדני), Please send by the hand of him whom You would send?"

4:14 And the anger of ADONAI (יהוה) burned against Moshe, and He said:

"Is not Aharon ha Levy your brother?"

I know that he speaks fluently. And moreover behold, he is coming out to meet you; when he sees you, he will be glad in his heart.

4:15 And you shall speak to him, and put words in his mouth: And I will be with your mouth, and with his mouth, and I will teach you what you shall do.

4:16 And he shall be your spokesman to the people: And he himself shall be as a mouth for you, and shall be to him as Elohim.

4:17 And you shall take this rod in your hand, with which you shall do signs.

4:18 (vi)

And Moshe went and returned to Yithro (יתר) his father-in-law, and said to him:

"Please let me go and return to my brethren who are in Mitzrayim, and see whether they are still alive."

And Yitro (יתרו) said to Moshe:

"Lekh leshalom" (Go in peace).

4:19 And ADONAI  (יהוה) said to Moshe in Midyan:

Go, return into Mitzrayim: for all the men are dead which sought your life.

4:20

Vayikach Moshe et-'ishto ve'et-Banav vayarkivem al-hachamor vayashav artzah Mitzrayim vayikach Moshe et-mateh ha'Elohim beyado.

And Moshe took his wife and his sons, and set them upon a donkey, and he returned to the land of Mitzrayim: and Moshe took the rod of Elohim in his hand.

4:21 And ADONAI said to Moshe:

When you go back to Mitzrayim, see that you do all those wonders before Paroh, which I have put in your hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.

4:22 And you shall say to Paroh: Thus saith ADONAI (יהוה), Yisrael is My son, even My Firstborn:

4:23 And I say to you, Let My son go, that he may serve Me: and if you refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay your son, even your firstborn.

4:24 And it came to pass by the way in the encampment, that ADONAI (יהוה) met him, and sought to kill him.

4:25 Then Tzipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, "Surely a bloody husband are you to me.

4:26 So he let him go: then she said:

A bloody husband you are, because of the circumcision.

4:27 And ADONAI  said to Aharon:

Go into the wilderness to meet Moshe. And he went, and met him in the mount of Elohim, and kissed him.

4:28 And Moshe told Aharon all the Divrei ADONAI (יהוה) who had sent him, and all the signs which he had commanded him.

4:29 And Moshe and Aharon went and gathered together all the Ziknei (elders) ha benai Yisrael:

4:30 And Aharon spoke all ha Devarim which ADONAI (יהוה) had spoken to Moshe, and did the signs in the sight of the people.

4:31 And the people believed: and when they heard that ADONAI (יהוה) had visited Benai Yisrael, and that he had looked upon their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshipped.
