7:1 And ADONAI (יהוה) said to Moshe:

See, I have made you a Elohim to Paroh  (פּרעה): and Aharon your brother shall be your prophet.

7:2 You shall speak all that I command you: and Aharon your brother shall speak to Paroh  (פּרעה), that he send benai  Yisrael out of his land.

7:3 And I will harden Paroh  (פּרעה)'s heart, and multiply My signs and My wonders in the land of Mitzrayim.

7:4 But Paroh  (פּרעה) shall not heed to you, that I may lay My hand upon Mitzrayim, and bring forth My armies, [and] My people benai  Yisrael, out of the land of Mitzrayim by great mishpatim.

7:5 And the Mitzrites shall know that ANI ADONAI (יהוה), when I stretch forth My hand upon Mitzrayim, and bring out benai  Yisrael from among them.

7:6 And Moshe and Aharon did as ADONAI (יהוה) commanded them, so did they.

7:7 And Moshe was eighty years old, and Aharon eighty-three, when they spoke to Paroh  (פּרעה).

7:8 (iv) And ADONAI spoke to Moshe and to Aharon, saying:

7:9 When Paroh  (פּרעה) shall speak to you, saying:

"Show a miracle for you: then you shall say to Aharon, Take your rod, and cast it before Paroh  (פּרעה), and it shall become a serpent.

7:10 And Moshe and Aharon went in to Paroh  (פּרעה), and they did so as ADONAI (יהוה) had commanded: and Aharon cast down his rod before Paroh  (פּרעה), and before his servants, and it became a serpent.

7:11 Then Paroh  (פּרעה) also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the kharetumei of Mitzrayim, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.

7:12 For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aharon's rod swallowed up their rods.

7:13 And he hardened Paroh  (פּרעה)'s heart, that he did not heed them; as ADONAI (יהוה) had said.

7:14 And ADONAI (יהוה) said to Moshe, Paroh  (פּרעה)'s heart [is] hardened, he refuses to let the people go.

7:15 Get to Paroh  (פּרעה) in the morning; behold, he goes out to the water; and you shall stand by the river's brink against he come; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shall you take in your hand.

7:16

Veamarta elav ADONAI Elohei haIvrim shelakha nieleikha lemor shalakh et-ami veyaavduni bamidbar vehineh lo-shamata ad-koh:

And you shall say to him, ADONAI (יהוה) Elohim of the Hebrews has sent me to you, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve Me in the wilderness: and, Hinei, indeed you would not hear.

The waters turned to blood

7:17 Thus says ADONAI (יהוה):

In this you shall know that ANI ADONAI: Hinei, I will smite with the rod that is in my hand upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.

7:18 And the fish that is in the river shall die, and the river shall stink; and the Mitzrites shall lothe to drink of the water of the river.

7:19 And ADONAI (יהוה) speak to Moshe:

Say to Aharon:

Take your rod, and stretch out your hand upon the waters of Mitzrayim, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Mitzrayim, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.

7:20 And Moshe and Aharon did so, as ADONAI (יהוה) commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Paroh  (פּרעה), and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.

7:21 And the fish that was in the river died; and the river stank, and the Mitzrites could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Mitzrayim.

7:22 And the kharetumei of Mitzrayim did so with their enchantments: and Paroh  (פּרעה)'s heart was hardened, neither did he hearken to them; as ADONAI (יהוה) had said.

7:23 And Paroh  (פּרעה) turned and went into his house, neither did he set his heart to this also.

7:24 And all the Mitzrites digged round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink of the water of the river.

7:25 And seven days were fulfilled, after that ADONAI (יהוה) had smitten the river.
