The Believer's revelation owes nothing to man's wisdom
2:1 And I, achim, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of chokmah, declaring to you the witness of Elohim (אלהים).
2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Yehoshua (יהושע) Mashiach, and Him impaled.
2:3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
2:4 And my speech and my proclaiming [was] not with persuasive words of man's chokmah, but in demonstration of the Ruach and of power:
2:5 That your faith should not stand in the chokmah of men, but in the power of Elohim (אלהים).
2:6 However, we speak chokmah among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this olam hazeh, nor of the rulers of this olam hazeh, who are coming to nothing.
2:7 But we speak the chokmah of Elohim (אלהים) in a mystery, [even] the hidden [chokmah], which Elohim (אלהים) ordained before olam hazeh to our glory:
2:8 Which none of the princes of this olam hazeh knew: for had they known [it], they would not have impaled Adonay of glory.
Spiritual truths are revealed by Elohim
2:9 But as it is written,
Eye have not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which Elohim (אלהים) have prepared for them that love him.
2:10 But Elohim (אלהים) have revealed [them] to us by His Ruach: for the Ruach searches all things, yea, the deep things of Elohim (אלהים).
2:11 For what man knows the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of Elohim (אלהים) knows no man, but the Ruach of Elohim (אלהים).
2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of olam hazeh, but the spirit which is of Elohim (אלהים); that we might know the things that are freely given to us of Elohim (אלהים).
2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's chokmah teaches, but which the Ruach HaKodesh teaches; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
2:14 But the natural man receives not the things of the Ruach of Elohim (אלהים): for they are foolishness to him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned.
2:15 But he that is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
2:16 For who have knows the mind of YEHOVAH (יהוה) that he might instruct him? But we have the mind of Mashiach.
