2:1
And the Yom HaShelishi
(third day) there was a marriage in Kanah Galil;
and the mother of Yehoshua
(יהושע) was there:
2:2
And both Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) was called, and His Talmidim, to the marriage.
2:3
And when they wanted yayin (wine), the mother of Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) said to him, They have no yayin (wine).
2:4
וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלֶיהָ יֵשׁוּעַ מַה־לִּי וָלָךְ אִשָּׁה עִתִּי עֲדַיִן לֹא־בָאָה׃
Vayomer eleiha Yeshua mah-li valach ishah itti adayin lo-va'ah
Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) said to her: What is to me and you ? Not yet has my hour come.
2:5
His mother said to the servants, Whatsoever he said to
you, do it.

And there were six stone jars, according to mode of cleansing the Yehudim,
each holding twenty
or thirty measures.

Six Stone Jars
2:7
Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) said to them:
Fill the water
jars with water." And they filled them up to the brim."
2:8
And Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) said to them:
Draw out now, and carry
some to the head steward."
And they carried it.
2:9
When the head steward tasted
the water which had become wine, and did not know where it came from (but the
servants who had drawn the water knew), the head steward called the bridegroom
2:10
and said to him, "Every man first sets out the good wine, and when they have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!"
2:11
This beginning of miracles did Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) in Kanah Galil, and manifested His kavod
(glory); and His Talmidim believed on
Him.
2:12
After this Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) went down to K'far-Nachum, He, and his mother, and His brethren, and His Talmidim: and they continued there
not many days.
2:13
And the Yehudim' Pesach was at hand, and Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) went up to Yerushalayim,
2:14
And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and
doves, and the changers of money sitting:
2:15
And when Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and
poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;
2:16
And said to them that sold doves, Take these things
hence; make not My AVI's house a house of merchandise.
2:17
And His Talmidim remembered that it was written, "The zeal
of Your house has eaten Me up."
2:18
Then answered the Yehudim and said to him:
"What sign do You show to us, since You do these things?"
2:19
Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) answered and said to them:
Destroy this temple, and
in three days I will raise it up.
2:20
Then said the Yehudim, "It has taken forty-six years to build this temple,
and will You raise it up in three days?"
2:21
But He spoke of the temple of His body.
2:22
When therefore he was risen from the dead, His Talmidim
remembered that he had said this to them; and they believed
the scripture, and the word which Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) had said.
2:23
Now when he was in Yerushalayim at the Pesach, in the Chag
[day], many believed in His Name, when they saw the miracles
which he did.
2:24
But Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) did not commit himself to them, because he knew all [men],
2:25
And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew
what was in man.
