The
Woman Taken in ni'uf (adultery)
(8:1-11)
וישוע
הלך אל־הר הזיתים׃
8:1
But Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) went to the Har haZeytim.
8:2
And early in the morning, (Shacharit) He came again into the Beit ha Mikdash,
and
all the multitude came to Him; and having sat down, He began to teach them.
8:3
And the Sofrim ( סופרים) and Prushim *brought to him a isha taken
in ni'uf ; and when having stood her
midst.
8:4
They say to Him, Master, this woman was taken in ni'uf ,
in the very act.
8:5
Now in our Torah of Mosheh Rabbeinu gave us a mitzvau to stone such nashim. "What
do you say?"
8:6
This they said, tempting Him, that they might have something of which to accuse
Him. But Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) stooped down, and wrote
on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear.
8:7
So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them,
"He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first."
8:8
Then He stoop down and went on writing on the ground with His finger.
8:9
Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by
one with the oldest even to the last, Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
8:10
When Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) had
raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said her:
"Woman where are those accusers of yours?
Has no condemned you?"
8:11
She said, No man, Adoni (אדני), And Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) said to her:
"Neither
do I condemn you, go
and sin no more."
8:12
Then Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) spoke
to them again:
" Ani
Hu haOr haOlam Hazeh: "
he who
follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the Ohr
haChayim."
8:13
The Prushim therefore said to Him: "You bear witness about Yourself, Your
witness is not true."
8:14
Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) answered and said to them:
"Even if
I witness concerning Myself, My witness is true, for I know where I came from
and where I am going. But you do not know from where I come, or where I go."
8:15
"You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.
8:16
"But even if I do judge. My judgment is true, because I am not alone in
it, But I and the Father who sent Me.
8:17
It is also written in your Torah, that the edut of two
men is true.
8:18
I am One who bears witness of Myself, and the Father who sent Me bears witness
of Me.
8:19
Then said they to Him:
Where is Your Father? Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) answered: "You know neither Me nor My Father. If you had known Me, you
would have known My Father also."
8:20
These words Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) spoke in Beit haOtzar, teaching in the Beit haMikdash (temple): and no man arrest him; because
His hour had not yet come.
8:21
Then Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) said to them again, "I am going away, and you will seek Me, and will die in
your sin. Where I go you cannot come."
8:22
Then the Yehudim said, "Will He kill himself because He says,
Where I go you are unable to come?"
8:23
And He said to them, You are from mattah
(beneath); ANI
HU from
maalah (above): you are of this Olam
Hazeh
(world); I am not of this Olam
Hazeh
(world).
8:24
Therefore I said to you that you will die in your averos (sins):
for if you do not believe that ANI
HU,
you
will die in your chatta'im
(sins).
8:25
Then they said to Him, Who are You? And
Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) said to them, "Just what I have been saying to you from the begining.
8:26
I have many things to say and to judge concerning you, But He who sent Me is
true, and wha I heard from Him, these Words I speak to the world."
8:27
They did not understand that He spoke to them of the Father.
8:28
Then
Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) said
to them, When you lifted up BEN
ha ADAM, then you
will know that ANI
HU, and
that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things.
8:29
And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always
do those things that please Him."
8:30
As He spoke these
words, many believed in Him.
8:31
Then
Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) said to those Yehudim who believed Him, "If you
stay
in My Word, then are indeed My talmidim;
8:32
And you shall
know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
8:33
They answered him, We are Avraham's descendants, and were never in bondage
to any man: how say you, You shall be made benei
chorin (freeman)?
8:34
Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) answered them,
Amen, Amen, I say to you,
Whosoever practicing
sin is the slave of sin.
8:35
And a slave does not abide in the house forever,
but a son abides forever.
8:36
Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
8:37
"I know that you are Avraham's descendants, but you seek to kill Me, because
My Word has no place in you.
8:38
I speak what I have seen with My Father, and you do what you have seen with
your father."
8:39
They answered and said to Him,
"Avraham is our father."
Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) said
to them,
"If you were Avraham's children, you would
do the works of Avraham."
8:40
But now you seek to kill Me, a Man has told you the truth which I heard from Elohim (אֱלֹהִים): Avraham did not do this.
8:41
You do the deeds of your father." Then they
said to Him, "We were not born of fornication; we have one Father—Elohim (אֱלֹהִים)."
8:42
Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) said to them,
"If Elohim (אֱלֹהִים) were your Father , you would
love Me: for I proceeded forth and came from Elohim (אֱלֹהִים); neither have I come of Myself but He sent Me.
8:43
Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to
My Word.
8:44
You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to
do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because
there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources,
for he is a liar and the father of it.
8:45
But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me.
8:46
Which of you convicts Me of sin?
And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me?
8:47
He who is of Elohim (אֱלֹהִים) hears Elohim's
Words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of Elohim (אֱלֹהִים)."
8:48
Then the Yehudim answered and said to Him,
"Do we not say rightly that You are a Shomrom and
have a demon?"
8:49
Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) answered,
"I do not have a demon; but I honour My Father, and
you dishonour Me.
8:50
And I do not seek My own glory; there is One who seeks and judges.
8:51
Amen, Amen, I say to you,
If a man keep My saying, he
shall never see death.
8:52
Then the Yehudim said to Him, "Now we know that You have a demon!
Avraham is dead, and the Neviim; and You say, 'If anyone keeps My Word he shall
never taste death.'
8:53
Avraham avinu died; you aren't greater than he, are you? And the prophets also
died. Who do you think you are?"
8:54
Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) answered,
If I honour Myself, My honour is nothing:
It is My Father who honours Me, of whom you say that He is your Elohim (אֱלֹהִים):
8:55
Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I say, 'I do not know Him,'
I shall be a liar like you; but I do know Him and keep His word.
8:56
Your father Avraham rejoiced to see My Day: and he saw
it, and was glad.
8:57
Then the Yehudim said to Him,
"You are
not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Avraham?"
8:58
Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) said to them,
Amen, Amen, I say to you,
Before Avraham was, I
AM.
8:59
Then took they up stones to cast at Him: but
Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) hid
Himself, and went out of the Beit ha Mikdash (temple), going through the midst of
them, and so passed by.

Because they have forsaken the fountain of living water, even the Adonai. |
Then Yeshua spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life." I am the light - Ani HaOr - AN-NÛR the Light with reference to Quran (24:35) see the 99 Names God is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The parable of His light is, as it were, that of a niche containing a lamp; the lamp is [enclosed] in glass, the glass [shining] like a radiant star: [a lamp] lit from a blessed tree - an olive-tree that is neither of the east nor of the west the oil whereof [is so bright that it] would well-nigh give light [of itself] even though fire had not touched it: light upon light! God guides unto His light him that wills [to be guided]; and [to this end] God propounds parables unto men, since God [alone] has full knowledge of all things.
