Mikhla haTzon (sheepfold)
Amen amen Ani omer lachem ish asher lo-yavo derech hasha'ar el-michla hatzon ki im-ya'aleh bederech acher ganav hu ufaritz.
Amen, amen, I say to you:
He who does not enter by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up from another place, is a thief and a bandit.
10:2
But he that enters in by ha sha'ar (door) is the shepherd of the
sheep.
10:3
Lo yiftach shomer hapetach vehatzon et-kolo tishma'nah vehu letzono beshem yikra veyotzi'em.
To Him the door-keeper opens the door; and the sheep hear His voice; and He calls His own sheep by their names and brings them out.
10:4
And when he has brought out his sheep, he goes before them; and his own sheep follow him, because they know his voice.
10:5
And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from
Him: for they know not the voice of strangers.
Hamashal hazeh diber Yeshua be'azeneihem vehemah lo yade'u mah hadavar asher diber aleihem.
This parable spoke Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) to them: but but they did not understand what he was telling them.
Vayosef Yeshua vayidaber aleihem amen amen ani omer lachem ani hu petach hatzon.
So Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) said again, “Amen, amen I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep.
10:8
All that ever came before Me are thieves and robbers: but
the sheep did not hear them.
10:9
ANI
HU ha sha'ar: by Me if any man enter in, he shall come
to yeshu'at Eloheinu, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
10:10
The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and
to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they
might have it more abundantly.
10:11
ANI
HU Ro'eh
haTov: the good shepherd gives His life
for the sheep.
10:12
He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them.
10:13
He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.
10:14
ANI
HU Ro'eh ha Tov, and know My sheep, and am known
of My own.
10:15
As Ha AVI knows Me, even so know I Ha AVI: and I
lay down My life for the sheep.
10:16
And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them
also I must bring, and they shall hear My voice; and there
shall be one fold, [and] one shepherd.
10:17
Therefore My AVI love Me, because I lay down My
life, that I might take it again.
10:18
No man takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I
have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.
This commandment have I received of My AVI.
10:19
Therefore there was a division again among the Yehudim because of these words.
10:20
And many of them said:
"He has a demon and is raving mad.
Why do you listen to Him?"
10:21
Others said:
"These are not the words of one being demon-possessed.
Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?"
Vayhi chanukah birushalayim veha'et setav.
And it was at Yerushalayim feast of dedication, and
it was winter.
10:23
And Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) walked in the Beit Ha Mikdash in ulam (porch) Shlomo.
10:24
Then came the Yehudim surrounded about Him, and said to Him, "How
long do You keep us in doubt? If You be Ha Mashiach, tell us
plainly."
10:25
Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) answered them:
I told you, and you believed not: the
works that I do in My AVI's Name, they bear witness of Me.
10:26
But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, just as I said to you.
10:27
My sheep hear My Voice, and I know them, and they Follow Me:
10:28
And I give to them eternal life; and they shall never
perish, neither shall any [man] pluck them out of My hand.
10:29
My AVI, which gave them Me, is greater than all; and
no man is able to pluck them out of My AVI's hand.
ANI ve AVI ECHAD ANUKHNU:
10:30
I and the Father are One
."
10:31
Then the Yehudim took up stones again to stone Him.
10:32
Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) answered them:
"Many good works have I shown you
from My AVI; For which of those works do you stone Me?
10:33
The Yehudim answered Him, saying:
"For a good work we do
not stone
thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that You, being a
Man, make Yourself Elohim (אלהים).
10:34
Yeshua (יֵשׁוּע) answered them:
Is it not written in your Torah, I
said:
"ANI
AMARTI ELOHIM ATEM?
10:35
If he called them gods, to whom Dvar Elohim (אלהים) came,
and the scripture cannot be broken;
10:36
Do you say of Him, whom ha AVI set aparted, and sent
into Olam Hazeh, 'You are blaspheming,' because I said, BEN haElohim (אלהים)
Ani HU?
10:37
If I do not the works of My AVI, believe Me not.
10:38
But if I do, though you believe not Me, believe the works:
that you may know, and believe, that Ha AVI is in Me, and
I in him.
10:39
Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped
out of their hand,
10:40
And went once again to the other side of Yarden to the place where Yochanan
was immersing
at first and there He stayed.
10:41
And many came to Him and said, "Yochanan performed no sign
(semeion):
but all things that Yochanan spoke of this Man were true.
10:42
And many believed on Him there.
