The scene continues to be the upper room where the talmidim had gathered with Yeshua before He was arrested.

14:1 "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in Elohim (אלהים), believe also in Me.

14:2 In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and I will receive you unto Myself; so that where I am, there you may be also.

14:4 And where I am going you know, and the way you know."

14:5 Thomas said to Him:

"Adoni, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?"

14:6

Vayomer elav Yehoshua anochi haderekh vehaemet vehachayim ve eesh lo-yavo el-haAv biltee al-yadi

Yehoshua (יהושע) said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

14:7 "If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and you have seen Him."

14:8 Philippos said to Him, "Adoni, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us."

14:9 Yehoshua (יהושע) said to him:

14:10 Hachi lo taamin ki ani vaAv vehaAv bi had`varim asher ani dover aleichem lo-milibi ani dover ki haAv hashochen bi hoo foel bi peoolotav.

Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words which I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who abides in Me does the works.

14:11 Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me: or else believe Me for the very works' sake.

14:12 Amen, Amen, I say to you,

He that believes on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go to My Father.

14:13 Vechol - asher tishali vishmi oto eeseh levaavoor yigdal k`vod haAv biV`no.

And whatsoever you shall ask in My Name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14:14 If you shall ask any thing in My Name, I will do [it].

The Ruach HaKodesh will come

14:15 If you ahavah Me, shomer My mitzvot.

14:16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (parakletos), so that He may abide with you forever,

14:17 the Ruach haEmet, whom the Olam Hazeh cannot receive, because it neither sees Him (autos) nor knows Him; but you know Him, because He abides with you and shall be in you.

14:18 I will not leave you yetomim (orphans); I am coming to you.

14:19 Yet a little while, and the Olam Hazeh sees Me no more; but you see me: because I live, you shall live also.

14:20 BeYom haHu you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.

14:21 He that has My mitzvot, and keeps them, he it is that loves Me: and he that loves Me shall be loved of My Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

14:22 Yehuda (not the one from K'riot) said to Him, "Adoni, and what has happened that You are about to manifest Yourself to us, and not to the Olam Hazeh?"

14:23 Yehoshua (יהושע) answered and said to him,

If a man love Me, he will Shomer My Divrei: and My Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our abode with him.

14:24 He that loves Me not shomer not My sayings: and the Dvar which you shema is not mine, but the Father's which sent Me.

14:25 "These things I have spoken to you while I remain.

14:26 But the Helper (parakletos), the Ruach ha-Kodesh whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you everything and remind you of everything that I said to you.

14:27 “Shalom I leave you, My Shalom I give to you; but not as the world gives! Do not let your heart be troubled or afraid.

14:28 You have heard how I said to you, I go away, and come again to you. If you loved Me, you would rejoice, because I said, I go to the Father: for My Father is greater than I.

14:29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, you might believe.

14:30 I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this Olam Hazeh is coming, and he has nothing in Me.

14:31 But that the Olam Hazeh may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave Me Mitzvah, even so I do. Arise, let us go from here.

Yeshua promises believers comfort from divine blessings that the unbeliever does not enjoy:

The key to all of this verse Yochanan 14:15 is that these divine promises are for those who love Yeshua the Messiah, whose love is evidenced by obedience.
