17:1 And when Avram was ninety-nine years old, YHWH (יהוה) Ra ah el Avram, and said to him, ANI SHADAI EL; halak (walk) before ME, and be you tamiym
17:2 And I will make My Covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.
17:3 And Avram fell on his face: and Elohim (אלהים) talked with him, saying,
17:4 As for me, hinnei, My Covenant [is] with you, and you shall be a father of many nations.
17:5 Neither shall your name any more be called Avram (exalted father), but your name shall be Avraham (אברהם); for a father of many nations have I made you.
17:6 And I will make you exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come out of you.
And I will establish My Covenant between Me and you and your zera (descendants) after you in their generations for an everlasting Covenant, to be a Elohim (אלהים) to you, and to your zera (descendants) after you.
17:8 And I will give to you, and to your zera (descendants) after you, the land wherein you art a stranger, all the eretz Kenaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their Elohim (אלהים).
17:9 And Elohim (אלהים) said to Avraham (אברהם), You shall keep My Covenant therefore, you, and your zera (descendants) after you in their generations.
17:10 [P215]
This [is] My Covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and your zera (descendants) after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.
17:11 And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the Covenant betwixt Me and you.
17:12 And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which [is] not of your zera (descendants).
17:13 He that is born in your house, and he that is bought with your money, must needs be circumcised: and My Covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting Covenant.
17:14 And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he has broken My Covenant.
17:15 And Elohim (אלהים) said to Avraham (אברהם), As for Sarai (mockery) your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah (princess) [shall] her name [be].
17:16 And I will bless her, and give you a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be [a mother] of nations; kings of people shall be of her.
17:17 Then Avraham (אברהם) fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall [a child] be born to him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah (שׂרה), that is ninety years old, bear?
17:18 And Avraham (אברהם) said to Elohim (אלהים), O that Yishma'el (ישׁמעא) might live before you!
17:19 And Elohim (אלהים) said, Sarah (שׂרה) your wife shall bear you a son indeed; and you shall call his name Yitzchak (יצחק): and I will establish My Covenant with him for an everlasting Covenant, [and] with his seed after him.
17:20 And as for Yishma'el (ישׁמעא), I have heard(shama) you: hinnei, I have baruch him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.
17:21 But My Covenant will I establish with Yitzchak (יצחק), which Sarah (שׂרה) shall bear to you at this set time in the next year.
17:22 And he left off talking with him, and Elohim (אלהים) went up from Avraham (אברהם).
17:23 And Avraham (אברהם) took Yishma'el (ישׁמעא) his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Avraham (אברהם)'s house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as Elohim (אלהים) had said to him.
And Avraham (אברהם) [was] ninety-nine years old, when he was circumcised(mul) in the flesh of his foreskin (orlah).
17:25 And Yishma'el (ישׁמעא) his son [was] thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.
17:26 In the selfsame day was Avraham (אברהם) circumcised, and Yishma'el (ישׁמעא) his son.
17:27 And all the men of his house, born in the house, and bought with money of the stranger, were circumcised with him.
