46:1 And Yisrael took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beersheva, and offered sacrifices to the Elohim (אלהים) of his avi Yitzchak.
46:2 And Elohim (אלהים) spoke to Yisrael in the visions of the night, and said, Yaakov, Yaakov. And he said, Here [am] I.
46:3 And he said, I [am] Elohim (אלהים), the Elohim (אלהים) of thy father: fear not to go down into Mitzrayim; for I will there make of thee a great nation:
46:4 I will go down with thee into Mitzrayim; and I will also surely bring thee up [again]: and Yosef shall put his hand upon thine eyes.
46:5 And Yaakov rose up from Beersheva: and benai Yisrael carried Yaakov avihem, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Paroh had sent to carry him.
46:6 And they took their cattle, and their goods, which they had gotten in ha eretz Kenaan, and came into Mitzrayim, Yaakov, and all his zera with him:
46:7 His banim, and his banim' banim with him, his banot, and his banim' banot, and all his zera brought he with him into Mitzrayim.
46:8 And these [are] the names of Benai Yisrael, which came into Mitzrayim, Yaakov and his banim: Reuven, Yaakov's bachor.

46:10 And Benai Shimon:

46:11 And Benai Levy:
Gershon, Kohat, and Merari.
46:12 And Benai Yehudah:
Er, and Onan, and Shelach, and Peretz, and Zerach: but Er and Onan died in ha eretz Kenaan. And Benai Pharez were Hetzron and Hamul.
46:13 And Benai Yissakhar:
Tola, and Puvah, and Yov, and Shimron.
46:14 And Benai Zevulun:
Sered, and Elon, and Yahle'el.
46:15 These [be] Benai Le'ah, which she bare to Yaakov in Padan-Aram, with his daughter Dinah: kol nefesh banav (his sons) and venotav (his daughters) [were] sheloshim ve shalosh (33).
46:16 And Benai Gad:
Zifyon, and Haggi, Shuni, and Etzbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.
46:17 And Benai Asher:
Yimnah, and Yshuah, and Yishvi, and Beriah, and Serach their sister: and Benai Beriah; Hever, and Malkhiel.
46:18 These [are] Benai Zilpah: whom Lavan gave to Le'ah his daughter, and these she bare to Yaakov, [even] sixteen nefesh.
46:19 Benai Rachel Yaakov's wife:
Yosef, and Benyamin (בּנימין).
46:20 And to Yosef in ha eretz Mitzrayim were born Menasheh and Efrayim (אפרים), which Asenat Bat Potiferah priest of On bare to him.
46:21 And Benai Benyamin (בּנימין):
[were] Bela, and Bekher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Na'aman, Echi, and Rosh, Mupim, and Hupim, and Ard.
46:22 These [are] Benai Rachel, which were born to Yaakov: all the nefeshs [were] fourteen.
46:23 And Benai Dan:
Hushim.
46:24 And Benai Naftali:
Yahtzeel, and Guni, and Yetzer, and Shillem.
46:25 These [are] Benai Bilhah, which Lavan gave to Rachel his daughter, and she bare these to Yaakov: all the nefesh [were] seven.
46:26 All the nefesh that came with Yaakov into Mitzrayim, which came out of his loins, besides Yaakov's banim' wives, all the nefesh [were] threescore and six;
46:27 And Benai Yosef, which were born him in Mitzrayim, [were] two nefesh: all the nefeshs of the house of Yaakov, which came into Mitzrayim, [were] threescore and ten.
46:28 (vi) And he sent Yehudah before him to Yosef, to direct his face to Goshen; and they came into ha eretz Goshen.
46:29 And Yosef made ready his chariot, and went up to meet Yisrael his avi, to Goshen, and presented himself to him; and he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.
46:30 And Yisrael said to Yosef, Now let me die, since I have seen thy face, because you [art] yet alive.
46:31 And Yosef said to his achim (brethren), and to his father's house, I will go up, and shew Paroh, and say to him, My achim (brethren), and my father's house, which [were] in ha eretz Kenaan, are come to me;
46:32 And the men [are] shepherds, for their trade has been to feed cattle; and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.
46:33 And it shall come to pass, when Paroh shall call you, and shall say, What [is] your occupation?
46:34 That ye shall say, Thy avadim' trade has been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, [and] also our fathers: that ye may dwell in ha eretz Goshen; for every shepherd [is] an abomination to the Mitzrite.
