Messianic Tehillim / Psalms

Read the Messianic Tehillim Online

The title "Tehillim" is the Hebrew word means Book of praises, in greek is Psalmos (G5568) meaning " primarily denoted "a striking or twitching with the fingers (on musical strings)"; then, "a sacred song, sung to musical accompaniment, a psalm." It is used (a) of the Tenakh book of "Psalms," Loukas 20:42; Loukas 24:44; Acts 1:20; (b) of a particular "psalm," Acts 13:33 (cf. Acts 13:35); (c) of "psalms" in general, Korintos Alef 14:26; Ephesios 5:19; Kolosse 3:16. The four questions on how to worship and praise YHWH is found in the Tehillim / Psalms 150

There are at least 16 Tehillim which are cross reference to the Brit Hadashah referring to Messiah Yeshua such in the following chapters :

(2, 8, 16, 22, 23, 24, 40, 41, 45, 68, 69, 89, 91, 102, 110, 118).

These Tehillim are called Messianic Tehillim are exclusively applicable only to Messiah. How can we know whether the Tehillim is a Messianic Psalms? We know this by the scripture that is fulfilled or have already taken place in the Brit Hadashah and similar verse found in the Tenakh. Get familiar the outline structure of the Psalms

The followings expression occur in the Tehillim:

Selah (סלה): - May mean lift uupp or exalt, end or pause, cresendo or musical interlude The LXX. render the word by daplasma i.e., "a division." occurs seventy-one times in the Psalms and three times in Habakkuk.

Maskil (משׂכּיל): Possibly, contemplative, or didactic or skillful Psalm, with understanding, wisdom A masculine noun meaning a poem, (Ps. 32; 42; 44; 45; 52-55; 74; 78; 88; 89; 142)

Sheol (שׁאול) : The nether or under world; the world of the dead; the grave, death, the depths; Abaddon (Destruction)

There are in all seven Amens and 24 Blessings

(Tehillim 41:13)  Blessed be YHWH Elohai  Yisrael from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.

(Tehilim 72:19)  And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.

(Tehillim 89:52)  Blessed be YHWH for evermore. Amen, and Amen.

(Tehillim 106:48) Blessed be YHWH God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye YHWH.

The Tehillim are divided in 5 books parallel with the ToRaH

1.        Tehillim 1- 41 – speaks of Moshiach  in counsel of YaH, the source of all Baruch for Am Yisrael (people of Israel)

2.        Tehillim 42-72 – speaks of their ruin, but redemption the last days. In Tehillim 50:5 YaH’s majesty In the Kehillah, the true Chassidim are those who have a brit  cut by blood sacrifice of Moshiach.  - Passover

3.        Tehillim 73-89 – speaks of  the KaDosH  of  YHWH in His Way  people. The Tzaddikim are sustained by Kiravat Elohim in His KaDosh sanctuary. – Unleaven Bread

4.        Tehillim 90-106 – speaks of the failed first Adam replaced by the Second. - Shavuot

5.        Tehillim 107 – 150 speaks of the final separation of  righteous and unrighteous, YaH and Man are reunited live happy after - Sukoth

There are about five types of Messianic Tehillim

1.        Prophetic – Tehillim 110 in reference to the Brit Hadashah Acts 2:30; Matt 22:44; Heb 1:13; 1 Pe 3:22

2.        Eschatological – Tehillim 96-99 the enthronement which is refer to as the second coming of the Messiah.

3.        Typological – Tehillim 22  compare with MattitYahu  27:39-46

4.        Indirectly Messianic Tehillim His Royalty  Tehillim 2; 45; 72

5.        Messianic Tehillim Tehillim 34:20; Ex 12:46; Numbers 9: 12 ; Yochanan 19:33-36

Interestingly the Messianic Tehillim of chapter 2 typical of Aaronic, 4 different voices of man, we can also see the compound unity of YaH

1.        vs 1-3 – speaks of man in his worst state of rebellion

2.        vs 4-6 – Speaks of YHWH’s wrath , His laugh, Heaven message to man is Matt 24:21 (Great Tribulation) ; Luke 4:16-20

3.        vs 7-9  - Speaks of Moshiach, redemption, authority, formula the potter’s vessel

4.        Vs 10-12 – Speaks of the voice of RUACH , wisdom and reconciliation Mishlei 31:2
